Ramon Bueno - Club President & Head Coach
With over 25 years of soccer experience under his belt, Ramon Bueno co-founded NJ LIONS fc as an opportunity to put his years of playing, coaching and submerging himself into the world of soccer together under one club. With over 20 years of coaching experience at area programs such as New Jersey City University - Men's program, Rutgers-Newark University - Men's Program, Montclair State University - Men's Program, St.Joseph's High School - Boy's varsity, Kappa Real Wyckoff's - Women's Teama nd Hoboken All-StarsTravel Program - U19, U17 and U15 boys -- Ray will be head coaching the women's and both men's NJ LIONS fc club programs.
Ray collegiately played 4 years at Montclair State University. Along with coaching Ray played soccer for Nutley United FC, NJ Futbolista's FC and Kappa Real Wyckoff Champions Reserve team and their Over 30 team which has won several Amateur and State titles. Ray currently plays on the Men's 040 team and coaches Women's, Men's Open and Men's 030.
Kelly McGuirl - Director of Soccer Operations & Treasurer
Kelly has been playing in and managing the Women's Club team since it's inception in 2004. Kelly teamed up with Head Coach Ray Bueno to form NJ LIONS fc to unite a women's and men's team under one club. With intentions of taking the Women's Club to the next level of play, Kelly enlisted the help of Ray as Head Coach. Kelly is currently taking a few seasons off to recoup from an neck injury. She hopes to be back in the field sometime in the future.
With over 20 years of soccer experience, including playing, organizing and coaching Kelly assumes the role of Director of Soccer Operations and Treasure for the Club.
